Makuupussi - Sleeping bag

Vielä ei sää ole paras mahdollinen telttailuun mutta silti "seikkailen" jo kesäisen telttailun maailmassa ja yhtä huonolla menestyksellä kuin viime keväänäkin. Noh, aina kaikki ei voi sujua kuin Strömsössä.

Viime vuoden toukokuussa esittelemäni minikokoinen teltta on tehty ilman mallia, mukaellen 1970-luvun oransseja telttoja ja ennen kuin Nukkekotilehti ilmestyi keväällä 2025 retkeilyaiheineen ja telttamalleineen.

Vanhat teltat olivat kai usein puuvillaa eivätkä pitäneet sadetta ilman erillistä muovisuojaa, mikäli mieli pysyä kuivana. Muistan, että lapsena telttareissulla vanhemmillani oli aina mukana koko teltan kokoinen muovi sateen varalle.

Vaikka telttailu ei vielä ole ajankohtaista ainakaan näillä leveysasteilla, joka tapauksessa tarvitaan myös makuupussi. Minikangasvarastostani löytyi pieni pala tikkikangasta, mistä ompelin sellaisen. Kankaan oikean puolen kuvio oli niin levoton, että jätin sen makuupussin sisäpuolelle. Ompelin myös vetoketjun pussiin vaikka se ei olekaan sävy-sävyyn. Itse asiassa, se pistää aika pahasti silmään.

Aluksi valmis makuupussi näytti liian suurelta, melkein Barbie-kokoiselta mutta ainakin tälle 1:12 kokoiselle miesnukelle se on juuri sopiva vaikka ei kaunis olekaan, siis makuupussi.

Although the weather is not yet optimal for camping, I am already continuing with my "adventures" in that world and with equally poor success as last spring. Well, not everything can always go smoothly, not even in the miniature world.

The mini tent I introduced in May last year was made without a pattern, imitating the orange tents of the 1970s and before our doll's house magazine [Nukkekotilehti] appeared with its camping theme and tent patterns and instructions on how to construct one.

I think that old tents were often made of cotton and they did not hold rain without a separate plastic cover if you wanted to stay dry. When I was a child, I remember that my parents always took a huge piece of plastic, the same size as the tent, on camping trips in case it rained.

Although it is still cold, at these latitudes at least, you nevertheless need a sleeping bag. I used a small piece of quilted fabric from my mini fabric stash to sew it. The pattern on the right side of the fabric was quite wild - I left it on the inside. I also sewed a zipper on the side of the bag even though it does not match the fabric color. It actually sticks out like a sore thumb!

At first, the ready sleeping bag looked way too big, almost fit for a Barbie doll but it is just perfect for this male doll in scale 1:12 even though it is not very pretty.
