Making this crockery cabinet is giving me a headache. The first one turned out really ugly and unfortunately the second one is not much better. Both are made of balsa wood and sanded and painted several times. Yet the end result is... er...pretty horrible, I think. Balsa wood and I just simply don't get along! As I need an old-fashioned Finnish crockery cabinet, something like this only in scale 1:18, I'm willing to give the cabinet one more go. I ordered sheets of bass wood from Jennifer's of Walsall as this type of wood can easily be worked on with sharp knives. Once I get the wood, I'll attempt one more time to make the cabinet. Hopefully it'll turn out better than the two previous ones.
