Tein ensimmäisen nk-nuken 9 vuotta (!) sitten ilman mitään ohjeita. Siitä vain suoraan Fimon kimppuun ja kehonosia muotoilemaan. Nukesta ei tullut hääppöinen ja tukkakin oli sitä über-kiharaa keinohiusta. Nukke sai vaatteeksi kietaisumekon ja siinä se on kököttänyt vuosikausia.
Nine years ago (!) I dug into Fimo and made my first doll ever. I had no instructions none what so ever. The hair I used was artificial, super-curly and I dressed her into a wrap-around dress what she's been wearing since then. See the photo above.
En kuitenkaan raaskinut heittää nukkea pois vaikka se ei olekaan mikään taideteos. Yritin suoristaa tukkaa kuumalla vedellä sillä seurauksella, että koko pehko irtosi nuken päästä mutta ei ne kiharat mihinkään kadonneet. Nyt oli käsissä kalju nukke. Laitoin sille pyjaman ylle ja sandaalit jalkaan. Tein uuden tukan ohuesta langasta ja kietaisin huivin päähän. Tässä meribiologi melko myrtyneenä naputtelee jotakin tietokoneella. Onko yhteydet heikot?
Although this doll is no piece of art, I didn't have the heart to throw it away. I wanted to straighten its hair by immersing it into hot water but the curls didn't disappear. In the end I had a bald doll in my hands. I dressed her into pyjamas, got her a pair of sandals in her feet, made her new hair from very thin yarn and wrapped a scarf around her hair. Meet my marine biologist who is tapping away on her computer, not looking very happy, though. The connection is most probably very poor!
